A petition will be circulated for Seymour residents during February to sign for Member for Euroa, Steph Ryan to present to Parliament to instruct the Goulburn Broken Catchment Authority to clean out Whiteheads Creek as matter of urgency.
A major effort from Seymour residents is needed to help reach the thousand or more signatures that will be required to achieve the positive outcome.
We plan to cover the whole of Seymour resulting in numbers showing Parliament that Whiteheads Creek poses a risk to Seymour residents.
The quickest way to reach the greatest number of residents would be to email the form and information to everyone you know to do their bit.
Form pick up and drop off points for help canvasing for signatures are: Betta Electrics, Seymour South Post Office, and Shoppers Delight.
Forms for signing are at 96 Cafe, and Brewers Table.
All residents who are 18 years of age and older are eligible to sign the petition. However, Parliament won’t count people if they just put a name and a signature so it’s important people fill the form out as completely as they can.
