Working towards road safety

by
January 16, 2018

A new roundabout is under construction along the Hume Fwy at the intersection of Seymour-Tooborac Rd, resulting in the north bound exit ramp being closed for about four weeks.

The Victorian Government is investing $1.1million into Towards Zero, a plan to reduce the state’s road toll to fewer than 200 deaths by 2020 and reduce serious injuries by 15 per cent.

The project is expected to run until May 2018, and on completion the Victorian Government hopes the roundabout will slow traffic down to a safer speed when exiting the Hume Fwy, reduce night-time crashes with improved street lighting, reduce potential high crash zones, and control traffic more safely in the intersection.
